This is a very different marina!
You'll enjoy a shady, treed and naturally landscaped waterfront, picnic tables & barbeques, funky showers and 'heads' and a self-serve snack bar. Our small staff will get to know you and your family and treat you with friendliness & respect. We'll teach you to avoid 'dock rash' and maintain or repair your craft with care and diligence. We're honest … and we care!
If you don't like concrete & gravel, and would like to keep your boat in a natural park setting there is nowhere else on the Rideau like us! Our mechanics will do thorough evaluations of any mechanical problems you have, give realistic estimates and advice, and keep you informed throughout the repair process.
Long Island Marine has received the highest award in Canada for environmental practices, and the top level in Ontario under the Boating Ontario Clean Marine program.
Add to this list several beautification awards. Environmental awareness underlies everything we do! We expect our boaters to follow our example.
In return our boaters enjoy personal, quality service from the owner, and mature employees who have worked here for between seven and fifteen years. They know what they're doing!
The shaded waterfront areas have picnic tables for all docks, a communal barbeque and encouragement to set-up your own barbeque, umbrellas etc adjacent to your dock. The 'heads' and two-person shower will entertain and amuse you. In season the snack bar works on an honour system, offering full, microwavable meals with all the fixing's, ice cream, pop, chips etc. The coffee is always on.
We offer several programs for trailer boats who want to keep their craft on land with unlimited use of the launch ramp … you can do it or we can do it!
All boaters, at our docks or on land have use of all our facilities and an invitation to our June 'Surf & Turf' and our September 'Big Beef' or 'Pig Roast' events. Both are accompanied by a local, live band that keeps some of our boaters dancing until well after dark.

At last eastern Ontario boaters, including on the Rideau Waterway, have an insurance program available to help us in emergency or urgent situations on the water. Think CAA & Boat US type coverage now applied to our waterways.
